Dua Lipa, aka Dua English singer and songwriter who was born on 22 August 1995, in London United Kingdom. The singer-songwriter signed with Warner Bros Records in 2014 following her work as an actress and then released her self-titled debut album in 2017. This album reached number 3 at the U.K. Charts and produced eight singles. They included Be The One I.D.G.A.F, the U.K. number one single New Rules as well as the U.K. Number. 1 Single New Rules. The album, which has since been certified Platinum in various nations around the globe has won the two Brit Awards (in 2018) for British Female Single Artist and British Breakthrough act. Dua Lipa was conceived by London with Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin Lilipa (father). Dua Lipa has Bosnian roots through her grandmother. Her ancestry can be traced back to Peja, a city in Kosovo. The two grandparents of Lipa were both historians. They have a brother Gjin Lipa and a sister Rina. Lipa learned to play the guitar and sing from her dad Oda. He is the leader singer/guitarist for Kosovan's rock group Oda. At home, her father would perform his original compositions, along with songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa was barely five when she began singing. When she was in her 9th year, she started singing at Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa has performed her cover of If I Don't Have You as well as Beautiful by Christina Aguilera, both on YouTube. The contract for her record to Warner Bros. Records was announced in 2014. New Love, Lipa's debut single, was released in August 2015.
